About the Museum

Exploring the intersection of art, technology, and culture in the heart of Kansas City.

A Space for Innovation,
History & Exploration

The Media Tech Museum is a specialized institution that explores and showcases the history, development, design, and impact of various media technologies. We focus on the intersection of art, technology, and culture — featuring exhibits, multimedia installations, and collections of artifacts related to different media formats.

From telegraphs and telephones to radios, televisions, phonographs, audio and video tape players and recorders, film, still and video cameras — our collection spans every major era of media communication.

The Media Tech Museum serves as an educational resource, cultural center, and space for experimentation and innovation. We will play a vital role in fostering a deeper understanding of the advancement of technology and its influence on art, culture, and society.

Located in the Crossroads Arts District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, The Media Tech Museum is a space for exploring innovation, preserving history, and engaging audiences with the dynamic world of media and technology — both in our personal and professional lives.
